What comes back

A run produces a record of the work, an answer, authorities, and a drafted document if requested.

The progress log

Every step appears as it runs, and stays with the answer afterwards.

The first eleven steps of a research run, each ticked green with the elapsed time on the right: Starting at 0:00, Preparing the matter, Preparing research_memo, Reading a document the matter file, Reading a document the matter notes, two Recording a matter fact lines quoting facts taken from the brief, two Delegating research lines naming sub-briefs, and two Searching case law lines showing a researcher's own queries

It keeps a file on the matter. Facts from your brief are recorded, added to, and read back at the start of every later turn in the same chat. A follow-up understands "those authorities" without being told again.

It delegates. Named researchers run searches. Their memos return to the matter and are read like any other document.

It reads sources in full. Judgments and legislation are read in full, not as snippets. A substantial run can exceed a hundred steps and ten minutes.

Each step shows the elapsed time. The log folds away when finished. Click the step count in the answer header to open it again.

If a run takes long, an Email me banner offers to notify you. The work is saved if you close the tab.

The answer

The header of a research answer: the heading Answer with the subtitle Based on analysis of relevant case law, an amber MEDIUM CONFIDENCE badge, an Export answer row offering DOCX and PDF, and a step count reading 126 steps and 12 minutes 36 seconds

The confidence badge is JuriBase AI's opinion of how well it handled the task based on instruction clarity and available material. It is a judgment, not a computed score. The same question can return a different rating on another run. Read it as a signal to check harder.

Steps and elapsed time link back to the log.

The answer has its own title and headings. Substantial answers end with a section on what is unresolved and what your client must prove.

The authorities

Top Recommended Cases lists relied-upon authorities with the court, case number, date, authority-strength badge, and links to View, Download, View in Kenya Law, Save, and Tags. More Case Laws holds other surfaced cases collapsed.

The Strong / Neutral / Weak badge reflects how later courts treated the case, weighted by the deciding court. Neutral means there is not enough citation signal yet. A recent or rarely cited decision is Neutral. It is not a citator or appeal status.

Where the answer quotes passages, Key Case Law Quotations and Key Act Quotations appear with the excerpt, source, and link. They are conditional. An answer argued from principle carries neither.

The document

When a turn drafts something, it arrives above the answer:

A panel headed Documents drafted for you, subtitled one document each in the formats listed, holding a single row: a document icon, the name Submissions set aside, the line Available as Word PDF Markdown or read here, and a blue Download Word button with a small arrow beside it

The button downloads Word. The arrow offers other formats:

The format menu opened from the arrow, listing four choices each with a one-line explanation: Word document, ticked, editable .docx ready to file; PDF, fixed layout for printing or sending on; Markdown, plain text for pasting into another editor; and Read it here, opens below without downloading anything

The line under the document's name lists the available formats.

When a document is present, the answer subtitle changes to "Accompanies the document above". It acts as a covering note explaining what was drafted, the structure, and the arguments.

The Documents button by the input box holds every document in the matter.

The panel opened by the Documents button, headed Documents in this matter with a count of 1 and a close cross, holding the same row: Submissions set aside, available as Word PDF Markdown or read here, with a Download Word button and its arrow

Revising a draft replaces the existing document. The document count stays the same.
